Terms of use
Last updated 16 October 2026
1. About these terms
These terms are an agreement between you and Daniel Da Silva, trading as DentInvoice ("we", "us"). By creating an account, you accept them. Contact us at hello@dentinvoice.co.uk.
2. What DentInvoice is, and isn't
DentInvoice helps dental professionals keep a record of their work and produce self-billed invoices, expenses and tax figures.
- It doesn't submit anything to HMRC.
- It isn't tax, accounting or legal advice.
- Its figures are only as accurate as what you enter. Check invoices before you send them.
- Any self-billing arrangement is between you and the practice, and you're responsible for having one in place where it's needed.
3. Your account
You need to be 18 or over and working in dentistry. Use an email address you check, keep your password safe, and tell us if you think someone else has access to your account. You're responsible for what's done with it.
4. No patient data
You must not enter any information that could identify a patient: names, dates of birth, NHS numbers or anything similar. We may remove anything that breaks this rule.
5. Your records
Your records belong to you, and you can download them at any time. DentInvoice isn't a guaranteed archive: keep your own copies for as long as HMRC requires, which is at least five years after the 31 January filing deadline for each tax year.
6. Free trial and plans
- New accounts get a 30-day free trial. No card is needed.
- One free trial per person. Accounts opened to get further trials lose them.
- After the trial, DentInvoice costs £5 a month or £50 a year, paid through Stripe.
- Plans renew automatically until you cancel. Cancel at any time in My account, under Subscription. You keep full access until the end of the period you've paid for.
- Payments aren't refunded for part of a period, except where the law says otherwise.
- Invite a colleague: once someone who joined through your link makes their first payment, you get a month's credit (£5) on your plan, for each person who does. Credit has no cash value, and we may withdraw it if invitations are misused, for example to yourself.
- If the trial ends without a plan, or payment stops, your account becomes read-only. You can still see and download everything.
- We'll give you at least 30 days' notice of a price change. It applies from your next renewal after that.
- Early member price: if you subscribe while a price is offered as the early member price, you keep that price for as long as your subscription stays active. If you cancel and later subscribe again, the price at that time applies.
7. Using it fairly
Don't try to reach anyone else's data, interfere with how the service works, copy or resell it, or use it for anything unlawful.
8. Availability and changes
We work to keep DentInvoice available and your data safe, but can't promise it will never be interrupted. We may improve or change features. If we ever stop running the service, we'll give you at least 30 days' notice to download your records.
9. Our responsibility to you
Nothing in these terms limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or for anything else the law doesn't allow us to limit.
Otherwise, as you use DentInvoice for your business, we aren't responsible for loss of profit, business or opportunity, or for indirect loss. Our total responsibility to you is limited to what you've paid us in the 12 months before the claim. If you are a consumer, your legal rights are not affected.
10. Ending the agreement
You can stop at any time by deleting your account. We may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms, telling you why where we reasonably can.
11. Changes to these terms
We'll tell you about significant changes before they take effect. Carrying on using DentInvoice after that means you accept them.
12. Law
These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales.
